Scholarships


The Bud Shorstein Center for Jewish Studies offers scholarships for undergraduate and graduate study and research initiatives.

The Center especially encourages undergraduate and graduate research in various UF programs ranging from University Scholars to CLAS scholars to undergraduate honors projects. Our scholarships have sent students to New York, Washington, DC, Madrid, Paris, Berlin, and Jerusalem. We have also awarded scholarships for intensive language study, study abroad programs, and the presentation of research at academic conferences.

Scholarship Funds

Gary R. Gerson Jewish Studies Scholarship/Fellowship

Supports scholarship, fellowship, or grant awards to undergraduate or graduate students engaged in coursework or pursuing a research interest in Jewish Studies.

Marshall A. Raff Scholarship Endowment Awards

Supports scholarship awards in Jewish Studies.

Dr. Warren Bargad Scholarship in Jewish Studies

Supports research and teaching programs geared toward Jewish communal service.

Philip and David Kolko Memorial Scholarship

Undergraduate Opportunities to Study in Israel for a semester, a year, or a summer.

Norman Schulevitz Foundation Scholarship

Undergraduate Opportunities to Study in Israel for a semester, a year, or a summer.

Samuel and Bessie Proctor Fund

Supports undergraduate need-based/merit scholarship to students attending the University of Florida and majoring in Jewish Studies.

Norman and Irma Braman Graduate Fellowship in Holocaust Studies

Supports master’s or doctoral research in Holocaust Studies
